About me

I have been a Castle Rock resident since 1976 when my family moved here from Illinois to start Master Magnetics, Inc. I graduated from Douglas County High School, Fort Lewis College (BS) and Regis University (MBA). I started at Master Magnetics as the marketing manager right out of undergraduate college. After 20 years I earned the position of chief operating officer and executive vice president, which I have been doing for the past 10 years. I have been married to my best friend for 27 years and have two great adult kids.

Making magnets

I grew up in the magnet business. People love magnets and are fascinated by them.  Magnets make the world go around. They are everywhere in our everyday lives. I am proud to work with a product that is so incredibly cool and useful.

Being named Castle Rock Businessperson of the Year

The honor of being named Castle Rock Businessperson of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce is a public recognition and a personal validation of all the hard work I have put into running and building the business into the success that it is.  I could not have done it without all the team members who have helped propel us all these years.

In my free time…

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. In my free time I like to keep active by hiking and biking on our great local and state trails.

My advice

I believe that honesty is the best policy and if a task is worth doing, it is worth doing right.
