About me

I have lived in Castle Rock since 1990 and my kids were born and raised here. This is our home, and we absolutely love our community! Not only have I raised my own children in Castle Rock, but I ran a day care from my home for about 20 years, so I've had great relationships with countless other families throughout the years. I've been involved in planning a number of events in our community as well, for our church and charitable organizations. It's been truly a blessing to know so many wonderful people in Castle Rock.

My business

I am the very proud owner of a 30 Minute Hit business, which is a women-only kickboxing gym that focuses on providing high-intensity workouts that are completed in just 30 minutes. We have trainers on the floor at all times that ensure that everyone is working out safely, and that provide coaching and motivation as our members go through the circuit. But 30 Minute Hit is more than just a gym. In addition to the great workout that leads to incredible results (both physical and mental), we also touch on self-defense techniques. And we provide a place for women to experience community and nourish their social connections.

Finding 30 Minute Hit

I have been active my entire life, and have been a runner, swimmer, I've done triathlons and even a Tough Mudder. I've tried Pilates, aerobics, and kickboxing. Working out and being active has helped me through some tough times in my own life, and I understand how healing and transformational it can be for women. I was lucky to find 30 Minute Hit through my husband, who met the folks from 30 Minute Hit at a franchise expo last year. As he learned about their unique approach to fitness, he thought that I would love working out at 30 Minute Hit. Since there were no locations in Colorado, we eventually decided to open one so that we could bring this incredible gym to our community.

Family focus

I am so dedicated to building this business and providing this resource for other women to find health and community that I don't have a whole lot of spare time these days. However, family is incredibly important to me, so I spend whatever spare time that I do have with my family. And of course, I work out in the gym several times a week!

My advice

In this phase of my life I am focused on giving back. I have been truly blessed with my family, the people I know in this incredible town, my health, and the life that I have been lucky to live. Now it is about helping other women find health and happiness, and owning and operating this gym is my small way of giving back to the community that has given so much to me.
