Castle Rock police are searching for three suspects they believe were involved in a Tuesday evening shooting at a local King Soopers grocery store. A fourth man, who has not been identified, was injured and transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

At approximately 7 p.m. on Aug. 6, police and Castle Rock Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a shooting near a King Soopers at 750 North Ridge Road.

Detectives believe an altercation between the victim and the suspects escalated into the shooting, although they do not know what exactly prompted the suspects to fire a gun, according to a news release. The victim, a 25-year-old Hispanic man, was shot once in the upper body.

Police are looking for one white male suspect and two Hispanic male suspects who they believe fled the scene in an early 2000 model maroon SUV. It's possible the vehicle is a Chevrolet Suburban.

The suspects are believed to be in their mid-20s and all wore white painting uniforms at the time of the incident. Anyone with information can contact Castle Rock Police at 303-663-6100.

Police say there is no threat to the public but urged anyone who may see the vehicle or suspects to avoid contact with them and report the information.
