Letter to the editor: Douglas County's schools made right call

Posted

As the controversy over wearing masks continues in Douglas County and our elected officials don’t get it, Douglas County School District has made the right move and is requiring masks for all in the schools.

Seeing the increase in variant cases hit kids and hearing of grade levels in various schools go back to remote learning, how can elected officials be so blind on the impact this virus is having on the community?

I believe in choice but is choosing not to take precautions worth seeing our schools shut down and all have to be remote learning again? Set aside political differences and do what is right for all.

I feel the majority supports the decision of the school district and didn’t give in to the vocal minority. Good job!!!
