Webster University to launch Master’s Degree Cohort Program

Posted

For the first time, the opportunity to obtain a graduate degree through convenient face-to-face classroom studies will be available in Castle Rock. Webster University’s Denver Metropolitan Campus is partnering with the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center to offer an onsite cohort program for Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) and Master’s of Arts in Management and Leadership degrees.

Beginning Jan. 12, 2012, classes will be held on Thursday evenings, from 5:30-9:30 p.m., in the Castle Rock Chamber boardroom, 420 Jerry St. Both the MBA and the Master’s in Management & Leadership take approximately two years to complete, through five nine-week terms per year, culminating in a graduation ceremony in June 2014.

Interested individuals are invited to attend an open house reception at the Castle Rock Chamber boardroom Sept. 15 from 6-7 p.m. Representatives from Webster University and the Castle Rock Chamber will be on hand to explain the programs in more detail and answer questions.

“This is a fabulous opportunity for our business community and residents to take advantage of furthering their education and staying close to home,” said Pam Ridler, president and chief executive officer of the Castle Rock Chamber. “Extending higher education opportunities has been a goal of the Chamber and Castle Rock Economic Partnership, and is just one step further in our desire of creating a strong local economy.”

“Sky Ridge Medical Center has partnered with Webster University to offer Masters of Health Administration degrees,” said Linda Watson, director of marketing & public affairs for the medical center. “Our employees have loved the convenience of advancing their education right at the workplace. As Chair of the Castle Rock Chamber, I am excited that we will be able to bring this same level of service and quality to the residents and business leaders of Castle Rock.”
