Shopping for a cause

The Outlets at Castle Rock held its biggest event of the year on Sept. 16: the 12 Annual Shopping Extravaganza. The annual charity fundraiser was expected to raise approximately $35,000 and gather more than 2,500 attendees throughout the day. For every $30 ticket sold, $20 was donated to the purchaser's charity or organization of choice.

More than 15 organizations participated, including the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce, Special Olympics Colorado and the Douglas/Elbert Task Force. Participants enjoyed food and live music and entered for a chance to win prizes.
