About me
I grew up in Southern California and have been dancing since I was 3 years old. Dance is all I’ve known; it’s always been a part of my life. I don’t know what I would do without it. In 2008 we moved to Castle Rock. Although I moved back to California briefly, when we heard our dear friend Laura Hinton wanted to sell her studio, we knew it was the perfect opportunity to start our dream. My mom and I have always wanted to and are thrilled to be doing it in Colorado.
Why I love dance
My mom put me in dance when I was 3 years old and I just never stopped. I started competing when I was 4 years old and have loved every second of it. It’s taught me so many life lessons in life and I am forever thankful for all the mentors I had growing up and am so excited to pass on my love and knowledge to my future students.
Opening our boutique studio
Boutique Dance Academy is a small one-room studio right now, which makes it such a tight-knit family atmosphere. We still want to keep that family feel but also be able to offer lots of different styles and varieties of classes. Within this year we are going to be looking to expand the studio and move so we can have more rooms offering more classes.
When I’m not dancing…
I love to spend time with friends and family. I love spending time outside, at the pool, beach or lake. I love the water. I also really just enjoy being at home relaxing.
My advice
I really believe everything happens for a reason, and even though my mom and I have wanted this for years, I know this was the right time for it to happen.
