Living Well - Bonaventure of Thornton to open premier senior community this summer

When Bonaventure of Thornton opens late summer of 2018, it’s not only going to provide seniors with exceptional care, but it will also provide an innovative and luxurious type of retirement living that seniors want.

In addition to 152 suites, the community will have amenities that include a bistro, which will have specialty coffees, appetizers, and treats throughout the day. Stop by our bowling alley for a few frames with friends. Or our many common areas, and activity rooms where there’s always something happening.

At Bonaventure of Thornton, neighbors become friends. The community also plans to have a pub/bar. With the ambiance of a friendly neighborhood pub/bar, it will serve cocktails, pub food, and good times during the day and into the night.

“Residents can participate and enjoy a good time just like if they were to go out on the town,” said Bonaventure of Thornton Executive Director, Diego Barrantes. “If a resident feels like having a cocktail in the afternoon, they are welcome to do that.” “We strive to be able to have an environment that never gets dated,” he said. “Buildings will get dated from time to time, but the environment and the ambiance we create is something you’d find in restaurants and elegant places.”

Barrantes has been working in the senior living industry for ten years, where he began as a food and beverage director. He has been with Bonaventure Senior Living over a year as an Executive Director.

“Each and every day is a new day, a new moment, and a new opportunity,” Barrantes said. “We always want to improve and create a better environment for our residents. Bonaventure strives for success. It shows every single day.”

Multiple levels of care will be offered under one roof. Having residents and all amenities under one roof will allow for not only easy access to an enjoyable lifestyle, but also allows for an easier transition if the level of care needs to be changed. A shuttle bus is available for regularly scheduled outings and scheduled appointments.

This will make it easy for residents to be able to go shopping, eat at restaurants, and visit their doctor. The community will also have special outings. A trip to a winery, a country drive, and more will happen multiple times a month.

The community will have a standard of at least 16 activities taking place in the community in a day, with numerous opportunities for fun and learning. There’s live entertainment an average of four to six times a month. This allows residents to be able to not only be entertained and learn, but also have the ability to socialize and interact with other residents and staff.

“I’ve learned that we become family members,” Barrantes said. “Bonaventure communities provide an atmosphere that is outstanding and that sets itself apart from other communities.”

Outside of the community’s pub, the building will have two elegant dining rooms, each with their own flair and energy. Having multiple dining rooms encourages residents to mingle and get to know one another—a common theme in a Bonaventure Senior Living community.

There are multiple dining options that can satisfy the most discerning palates out there. There’s daily and weekly specials, as well as an “Always Available” menu, that will give residents the chance to eat anytime of the day. Every Bonaventure Senior Living community has an executive chef that prepares the meals. They also use fresh and seasonal ingredients when available to provide the healthiest and most delicious meals, seven days a week.

All meal recipes are created by executive chefs that want residents to feel satisfied with their options, while getting food that provides good nutrition.

“My focus for this building is to create a lifestyle and entertainment that never gets old,” Barrantes said. “It’s a pleasure to be able to give residents a new concept, a new idea, and a new lifestyle. Residents are always looking for something new and exciting, and the opportunity to be able to provide that is something I am very happy to be able to do.”

Bonaventure of Thornton is about quality, luxury, and, most importantly, heart. Future residents see the heart of a community pulse. We care about what home means for you. Bonaventure of Thornton is scheduled to open sometime in late August or early September.

“We are giving tours,” Barrantes mentioned. “Suites are filling up and only a very few remain unspoken for.”

Come meet Diego and the team and see what Retirement Perfected truly means. Tours can be scheduled by calling 720-262-8650. Or prospective residents can also drop by the community site by visiting 12281 Washington Center Parkway, Thornton, Colorado 80241. “Call me today. I would love to show you what retirement perfected means,” Barrantes said. To learn more, visit our website at: bonaventuresenior.com.
