Douglas County High School Class of 2018: What have you learned that you will carry with you for the rest of your life?

Posted

Something that I've learned that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is you shouldn't care what other people think about you. Especially in high school, because it won't matter later in life. If you try too hard to impress people now, it will take away from your high school experience and make you regret not just having fun. Do what makes you happy!

— Rylee Taylor, Douglas County High School

Out of everything I've learned this year, I think I will take the passion that I gained for theater with me for the rest of my life. All of my friends that give me so much love and support every day help me thrive.

— Mya Lovelace, Douglas County High School

Throughout my high school years, I have learned that through hard work and the right mindset you can obtain the goals you set. Whether it’s to make the varsity team, get a 4.0, or just graduate, if you keep your goal in mind and the steps you need to get it, you will achieve it. Keeping the right people around you influences that hard work and it’s important to keep those people around. As I move onto the next chapter in life I will carry that mindset on, as I’ve learned the importance of hard work.

— Maddy Ketron, Douglas County High School
