Looking good

It was quite the beauty contest, and the older the more beautiful — this year, anyway. The winner of the “best of show” honor at the June 15 Classic Rock Cruise In show in Castle Rock was a light green 1934 Lincoln, said Roger Maddaford, vice president of the Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock, which puts on the annual car show.

There were a record 267 entries this year. “We put a call out for `any car that's cool,'” Maddaford said. Maddaford said if his records are complete, this show's oldest vehicle was a 1925 Dodge and the youngest were Mustangs made in the late 2000s.
