Imagine a beautiful American town in the foothills of the Rockies. Imagine the town's people put aside their divisive attitudes and instead come together to model for the rest of the country the very spirit this nation was built upon.

Imagine the Star on the Castle Rock, first erected in 1936 to symbolize "hope" during desperate times, intended to attract strangers on their journeys, renewing its original meaning. Imagine Castle Rock declaring itself a "sanctuary town" for people fleeing their homelands for a more peaceful existence free of religious persecution.

Imagine some families opening their homes to those in need. Merchants in the town offering services to support them. Teachers making room in our already overcrowded schools for children desperate for education. Job opportunities availing themselves in a quickly growing town.

Imagine the example we would set for our own children. Imagine the unity we would experience as a community. Imagine the peace these immigrant families would finally feel.

Imagine a plaque erected by the Star that read, "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, we light our star on top of our rock.".

Imagine.
